How ya doing? I’m doing great. Just wanted to say we are out of school until 4th of April – Spring break. I am proud to say I am at my job dream. My job is exactly my dream come true in a big way.  I love being there.

I told my boss today four words: I LOVE MY JOB!!!


I’m so serious – the staff I work with are great and kiddos are awesome!!!

How To Receive Anything You Want


HOW TO RECEIVE is open for business!

This is something I first wrote two years ago. You’ll notice at the end I write “I decided this is going to be one of those mysteries that will never be solved.”   Well I DID solve it. Make sure you read the end of this note.

I was all excited. I upgraded my gym membership to “Black Card” status. Ten dollars a month more, which was a small price to pay for the enhanced benefits.

No, it wasn’t the tanning beds.

No, it wasn’t half price on the cooler drinks.

No, it wasn’t the privilege of bringing a guest for free each day if I cared to.

No, it wasn’t even the cool “black card” t-shirt I got.

It was the massage chairs.

Two, big, plush massage chairs, right at the front entrance. The automated rollers just underneath the upholstery calling out to my tired back muscles. I eyed these chairs for months, and three weeks ago finally decided to take the plunge.

Now I figured there would be times when I’d have to wait in line to get my ten or so minutes of automated shiatsu. It’s a crowded gym, and an extra ten bucks a month is a small price to pay for that kind of pleasure.
.
Yet every single time I’ve intended to use them, there hasn’t been anyone waiting. Come to think of it, there’s only been one time I remember anyone actually using either chair.

A couple of days ago I decided to ask at the front desk. What gives?

First I was curious as to how many people actually have memberships at that location (it’s a national chain). I was told 8000, or about 25% of the adult population of my town. Makes sense…it’s an inexpensive place that makes lots of money on volume.
.
So if the normal rules of health club membership apply, about 10% of the members actually use the facility on a regular basis. That leaves 800.
.
Just for fun, we’ll say one third of those – about 275 – have an upgraded membership.
.
And let’s say of those 275, five percent of them are at the gym at any given time…13 or 14, including me.

Yet none of them care to use those chairs?

Strange. Every time I walk into Brookstone or some other upscale adult toy store there are always folks in the massage chairs, playing around (I’m often one of them).
.
Yet when they become something you are entitled to, people stay away in droves?

What’s up with that?

The health club employees don’t get it either. They tell me it’s one of their favorite things to use when no one else is around.
.
Maybe it’s that everyone else goes home to the loving, tender hands of their significant other and have no need for a massage chair.
.
Maybe I’m the only one who likes it both ways…the human touch and mechanical massage.

Who am I kidding?

I decided this is going to be one of those mysteries that will never be solved. I also decided I like it better this way. It’s cool knowing I can go anytime I’d like, have a seat and have my tension stroked away by the best modern technology has to offer.

Can I Tell You A Secret?

This really is kind of a secret.
.
In all the years I’ve been a counselor, coach and trainer I’ve had people come to me with lots of different goals. The most common one is success in business. People want to find a new way to make money. Or they want to grow an existing business.
.
And sometimes they want to be held accountable to weight loss, or improved health habits, or exercise, etc.
.
And sometimes it’s about spirituality. They want peace within themselves and seek out my help to get there.
.
But the most common one is the money thing. They want to break through the level they’re at and make some bank.  :)
.
It’s cool.  There’s no wrong reason to work with me, or any other trainer or coach. It’s only wrong if it’s not in alignment with what your inner being is calling for.
.
As Stuart Wilde says, “whoever said money isn’t spiritual simply didn’t have any.”
.
Now….here’s the Secret.  And please don’t tell anyone I told you.  (wink)
.
The most common thing that happens with anyone who works with me is this:
.
They find a Lover.
.
I’m not kidding. I’ve been tracking this for the last ten years or so.
.
Lots of good things happen. People make money.
.
They get healthier. They find more peace.
.
And even if it isn’t what they signed on for, they “hook up.”
.
And I’m not talking one night stands. I’m talking meaningful, fun loving long-term relationships.
.
And it’s not always with a stranger.  It’s often with a husband or wife that they’ve neglected, or been neglected by.
.
If you’re in the middle of it, it’s pretty easy to figure out why…
.
Anything you want – the money, the success, the health, the peace – starts with you getting right with yourself. It’s the only way I do business.
.
I’m not going to give people “techniques” that seem sexy and give you a quick hit of excitement but don’t do anything in the long run.
.
If you’re working with me, we’re lining up your energy for LONG TERM SUCCESS.
.
And that means becoming more open to the gifts the Universe is wanting to give you.
.
You know… Attraction!
.
And what happens when you get attractive?
.
You ATTRACT!
.
Seriously…you get alluring. Magnetic.
.
Sexy.
.
You feel better.
.
You feel worthy of bringing better stuff into your life.  Better people.
.
And they start flowing in.
.
Or the ones who have been with you all along start treating you nicer, and you treat them nicer too.
.
You’re better at giving…and receiving.
.
Then…WATCH OUT!  All kinds of crazy good stuff happens.
.
Does it work this way every time?  Of course not.  Some people are just too darned resistant to letting love and loot into their lives.
.
But they usually don’t work with me.  I scare them away first.  (smiling)
.

You Don’t Have To Be A Big Player To Play Big


THE BACKSTORY…

I wrote a piece that I intended to put out Saturday morning. It started with a woman who had unsubscribed from my newsletter and said some not very nice things on the way out the door. Happens from time to time. Short version: she accused me of being judgmental and a bully.

I disagreed. And I wrote an article in response to her note. And I was all set to put it out.

Then I sent it to one of my friends to get a reaction.

I got a joking response – “I don’t think I should go there.”

Well, that’s exactly where I wanted her to go. Otherwise I wouldn’t have asked for her opinion.

Took some teeth-pulling, but eventually I got my answer. Short version: the article was a disaster waiting to happen. Bury it in a deep hole and never let it see the light of day.

So I took another look. And I agreed. Just put down my shovel to write this instead.

It’s not about the other article. It’s about my friend.

And it’s about YOU.

The friend who finally came clean wants a strong, leveraged income she can work around her family. She’s not looking to get super rich from her efforts. Some extra money to keep up with expenses and have a little extra at the end of the month for fun would be just super.

She doesn’t want to be the superstar in front of a room of adoring fans. She likes her life the way it is and wants to find a way to keep it intact.

So she’s not looking to be a “Big Player.”

That really doesn’t matter. Here’s THE THING I want you to understand…

If you’re going to do anything to improve your lifestyle – make money in a business, advance your career, lose weight, gain weight, get healthier, get a sweetheart, fix a broken relationship, etc. – you don’t necessarily have to be a big player.

But you have to PLAY BIG.

I asked my friend to look at that article because I had my own doubts. This is someone whose opinion I respect. I made that clear.

But she was still shy about asserting herself…about expressing the source energy inside that told her she was right…and felt strongly about.

(I know she felt strongly, because the one sentence response I asked for turned into ten paragraphs.)

It’s not about how big you want to be.

It’s how true to yourself you want to be.

That’s what the Universe responds to. It’s what people around you respond to.

It’s how you free up your own energy to go out and get whatever you want.

Got something in your life you KNOW isn’t right? Are you permitting it?

You don’t get to complain about what you permit.

And you don’t get to have success until you unfold all that you are.

Once you do, you get to have as much or as little as you’d like.

Thank you, my friend, for your wise counsel. I learned and grew from it.

Thank you MORE for sharing your authentic, congruent Divine self.
