You have a voice.
Get the confidence to speak in it.
Some of us are loud and bombastic.
Some of us are quietly confident.
Most of us are somewhere in between.
Most of us, when were at our best, can switch gears from one another to another, pulling out the different elements of us, depending on what the situation calls for.
We’re not boxed in because of fear of rejection or need of approval.
It’s no different from a carpenter having lots of tools in their tool box.
It’s the old saying…if the only tool you have is a hammer, you’re going to treat everything as if it’s a nail.
Some people are going to respond to your gentleness.
And some will respond to the alpha male in you (no matter what gender you are).
It’s a great idea to expand your range. And I (among many others) can certainly help you to do that.
But let’s say you don’t have any interest in expanding your range.
Let’s say you want to get stronger in the voice you already have.
Perfectly cool.
You’re going to have fewer types of people who respond to you. If you’re in sales, marketing or leadership of any kind, that’s certainly an issue.
But if you are comfortable in your voice, and you know how to find the types of people who respond to you, You’re going to do very well.
Because your voice, when it’s strong and clear and uncluttered with doubt and fear…
It resonates, just like a great song.
Not everyone will like that song.
But the ones who like it…they’ll really like it.
Successful people in this industry find their voice.
Find yours.

Thank you for sharing this post, Larry! We need to discover exactly what our real voice is and make the most of it in everything we do.
Every day I’m learning more and more to not be afraid to share my voice….
Crazy thing is….when I incorporate my voice into my marketing, the right people see it and want to follow me.

Everything comes to us exactly when it’s supposed to, Ron.
Interesting point of view, Joseph. There is not shortages of voices who are willing to speak on our behalf, even though they may not want what we want. 😉
Let’s find yours, Lynne. Hearing what others did is a great start. We walk that path by going through our own experiences.
