Just a quick observation about how to grow your business, if you have one.
And of course some promotion.
If you listen to any given conversation (when no one thinks you’re noticing), or look at the typical person’s social media stuff, you’ll see a LOT of attention to other people’s business.
Yeah, stuff about celebrities and local gossip, and other things that have nothing to do with your personal or professional well being.
But also a lot of “hero worship” about the newest guru or program.
The gossip part…
Yeah, stay away from it.
Because not only does it take your attention away from what you want to accompish, it also lets other people know you aren’t safe with their trust.
I’m not giving my trust or money to someone cutting down on anyone else, for any reason. I’ll be wondering when I’m next!
The guru part…
There are some really great programs and really great trainers if you’re in any kind of marketing.
Same is true for personal development, strength training, relationships, anything.
And if you follow them like a puppy, you’ll get a little bit out of it.
And then you’ll notice you’re not making any progress in the things you want to accomplish.
And usually you’ll move onto the next guru, and repeat the pattern.
Speaking as a trainer who has sometimes been called a guru, I don’t dig that.
I don’t train with the idea of having minions.
I train with the idea of creating success, even if I have to play a little rough with people sometimes.
That’s why I’m finding people in MIND FLIP having success already…and we haven’t even launched yet!
I’m having them work on important background info. and skills before we officially get started.
For real! One student generated nine sales in a day, when he struggled to get any in the past!
That is how to grow your business.
If you’re a fan, you’ll continue to be a fan.
If you’re a student, then 90 to 180 days from now – maybe sooner, maybe later – your whole world will change.
It’s timeless wisdom.
Grow your business by growing yourself.
Put down the gossip, the small mindedness, the hero worship.
Be a student.
With Julie and me if you like.
