I used to hear the phrase, “Eternal Patience brings eternal rewards.”
It was a familiar saying by my sponsor in my first network marketing company, who just happened to be my cousin, David.
And throughout the years I’ve taken on lessons in patience…including one from nature.
I walked past the sign that says “Wildlife Viewing Blind” many times. Today I decided to follow it.
After making the trek, I was rewarded with a view of a field, but no animal life to be seen. In another place and time, I would have just bolted and gone after the next attraction. This day I decided to stick around a while.
No, I didn’t get a look at any deer, or bears, or turkeys, or anything else that visits Sessions Woods Wildlife Management area in Burlington, Connecticut. But if I wanted to I could have stuck around longer.
It’s that way with your home business. If you want to experience success, it’s not enough to just race around from one thing to the other. Yes, there is stuff you have to do.
But you also have to allow the process to unfold.
Your prospects are going to do things in their time, not yours.
They’re going to sign up to your newsletter in their time.
They’re going to take your trial offer in their time.
They’re going to buy your monthly package in their time.
And they’re going to join your business organization in their time.
You can try and force the issue if you want.
Just like nature, you’ll scare away that which you’re trying to entice by being safe and letting things unfold on their own time.
Do the stuff. Go to the places. Have the right tools for the right job.
But have the patience and the emotional maturity to let things happen in their own time. The rewards will be profound.
