Maybe a different story for those of you in the southern hemisphere. But we northerners are ready to kick February’s ass out the door.
.
And hey…what better way to do it than with some Friday Truth Bombs??
Here ya go, compadres!!!
A Positive Environment Truth Bomb from Lisa Grossman:
If the last 18 months has taught me anything … and the last 24 hours have served to remind me of this is it … with great people great things happen and during rougher times you have the greatest support …. Any which way you look at it the quality of your life comes down to the quality of the people you spend it with.
A Personal Responsibility Truth Bomb from Dr. Bob Clarke:
Is all this “It’s Not Your Fault” crap just a copywriting/marketing strategy or are people delusional enough to believe it?
Of course it’s your fault!
It’s your fault if you haven’t figured out that the fastest way to anything is to find someone who’s already done it and suck their brains out.
It’s your fault if you keep going after all the shiny new things hoping that some how, some way this will be “the one”.
It’s your fault if you buy training after training and never do anything with it, just like it’s your fault if you’re too paralyzed to buy anything.
It IS your fault.
Stop allowing yourself to be enabled by slick marketers trying to convince you otherwise.
Own it. Learn from your mistakes. Get better. Be smarter.
A Learn From Smart People Truth Bomb from Greg Gomez:
When I’m the smartest person in my team meeting, My business sucks.
I seek to be the dumbest guy in the room… Millions Follow.
A Movement And Flow Truth Bomb from DeAnna Dimmitt:
The way we do one thing is the way we do everything.
As Americans, by definition, this means we scurry around, always feeling rushed and hurried, like there is not enough time. We try to multitask everything because productivity is the standard by which our worth as a human being is measured. We ignore our inner compass, disengage from our bodies when they cry out for attention, nutrition, and rest. We feel irritable and defensive. We are stressed. We are tense. We are… not in flow. We think this is normal.
There is a better way, a softer way, a more efficient way.
There is breath, and focus, and actively stepping towards a state of balance.
We can relax and allow ourselves to become a conduit of the Qi.
We don’t have to work so hard because, if we would just soften our grip and get out of the way, the Qi will do most of the work for us.
We can accomplish any and everything in the absence of tension OR we can try harder and harder to go nowhere at all.
Flow is the movement of Qi through our bodies, through our minds, through our lives.
A Home Business Truth Bomb from Yours Truly:
This may be nitpicking, but…
No, I changed my mind. It’s not nitpicking.
If you’re in a network marketing company, you do NOT have a home business “opportunity.”
You have a home business.
While a big part of your job is to grow your organization, a home business “opportunity” looks and smells like you’re always waiting to “get” someone. That always felt like speculation and building income off the backs of others…which a good multi-level business is not.
A home business is one that people can sell products or services in. It’s not “opportunity.” It’s not future. It’s present. And while it has the same risk as any other business venture, it also has a clear and legitimate path to profit. Moving volume or creating leverage though your organization or both.
If you invite people to take a look at your “opportunity” I promise you will raise red flags. If you invite them to check out your business, you have a prospect that feels safer and more open.
A Visioning Your Future Truth Bomb from Lori Ruff:
What do you want your life to look like in 3 months; 6 months; 12 months or 18? What do you want to have happen in your career or your business; what do you want to be “real” in or “gone” from your life? What challenge are you facing now that you desperately want to overcome? What is your desired outcome?
If one year from now you want to gain a promotion, what is the one decision you can make today that will get you closer to that goal? Perhaps it is as simple as decide to “go for it.”
If you want to quit smoking, will you decide to stop or find help, or will you decide to “start tomorrow”?
Each option will have ramifications on the rest of your life. Each decision you make now will make the next one easier or more difficult, and the choice is up to you. You know the choice you have to make in order to secure your new tomorrow. But what it really takes is courage; persistence; sometimes patience.
What is the cost of your one decision? The cost is always the same: either the pain of discipline to achieve your dreams; or the pain of regret as you settle for less.
And Finally…A Future Truth Bomb from Brad Hines:
The most successful people in the next 100 years will be those who are masters of disseminating information.

All great info, but my favorite here is about seeking to be the “dumbest” in the room. Love that.
Brad, mine too! Great post Larry.
I like DeAnna’s “There is breath, and focus, and actively stepping towards a state of balance.” Sometimes I don’t feel the “flow”, but when I do, it makes a world of difference.

D
Love this. Thanks Larry. Lots of food for thought. I think, at the moment, my truth bomb is – when working with your team, make sure you lead by example, work with them but not for them, give more than is asked and laugh a lot….
Thanks, folks! This is turning into one of my favorites too!
