I donated blood today (as you can tell from the photo.)
.
As usual, it felt great. Because I laid down and tolerated a little discomfort for a few minutes, someone is going to get stuff that gives life.
There are lots of things we can find substitutes for. Whole food. Exercise. Even intimate relationships, though the back up version of each of these is way inferior to the real thing.
As of now, there’s no substitute for blood. That may change. But not yet.
So in that sense, I always felt like donating blood was the ultimate form of commitment. Without it, someone may die.

There’s a huge difference between talking about something, dreaming about it, planning for it, posting all over your Facebook and Instagram about it, Tweeeting about it…
And executing it.
Committing to it.
.
Bleeding for it.
.
Making it the center of your universe. Something you’re not willing to live without.
Until you’re willing to throw down with your dreams, they’re going to stay just that.
Dreams.
That’s fine if you want to fantasize. To have an imaginary substitute for it. We all do that.
It’s not if you want to actually live it.
And it sucks if you’re talking yourself into believing something is real, but you’re not becoming the person who makes it happen in your real life.
Wanna change that?
Wanna see yourself as someone who stops role playing and starts living your dream?
Wanna bleed for it?
How To Receive can help you now.
