I love when people send me silly bounceback offers when I broadcast a message to my list. This one was perfect because it gave me a chance to talk about how NOT to use social media to get what you want.
The easiest way to turn people off is to use their post, or note, or video to pretend to be interested in yours, then bring the conversation over to their hot new deal, or whatever it is they’re trying to make work.
And BTW…if they’re using that technique on you, I promise….they aren’t having any success. Stay away from folks who prospect that way.
