You don’t have to be a jerk to be confident. But you are allowed to ask for what you want.
This was the afterglow of The Confidence Project in Detroit, Michigan. Julie and I sat down to go over stuff and get some food. Well, you can see what happened.
Don’t mistake arrogance for being confident.
I was ready to get my own water. When Michael the waiter offered, though…we had no hesitation saying yes.
Get this…you are good enough to have things done for you.
You are good enough to ask for what you want.
You are good enough to accept something better than mediocre.
And you are abundant enough to appreciate service. Michael got a very nice tip for his troubles.
If you don’t value yourself, don’t expect anyone else to value you either.
