This is one of those times. 😉
We all know about “The Ripple Effect.” What you do creates a ripple that spreads out and goes on for a long time.
Recently, I had a profound experience with “The Exit Ripple.”
I was taking a bath. Yeah…a real bath. In the tub and everything. That’s a rare thing for me.
I was relaxed, chillin’. Well actually quite warm.
I popped my pointer finger into the tub.
And exactly as you would expect, I saw the Ripple Effect. Rings of water projected out from the point of entry, all the way to the end of the tub. They got weaker as they spread out.
Nothing new there. We’ve all thrown rocks into the middle of a body of water and seen it happen.
Now, here was something different…
Every time I took my finger out of the water, it also created a Ripple Effect.
I withdrew it. And the same rings of water made their way outward.
I tried it as slow as I possibly could. Got a weaker effect. But I still got one.
I tried it with my pinkie. Same thing. Smaller, but definitely noticeable.
Yes, that picture above is the actual tub and my actual finger. The rings in the water are the actual Exit Ripple Effect.
Stop reading for a minute. Go fill a cup. Or put your finger in a sink full of water. Try it.
The Exit Ripple Effect.
When you enter something, you always create an effect. Depending on your force and speed, it will be big or small. But there will always be an effect.
When you leave something, you also create an effect. And depending on the force and speed with which you exit, it will be big or small.
But there will always be an effect.
Ninety nine times out of a hundred, when you want to make something good happen in your life…when you want a positive change, you will have to leave something behind.
Big or small…there will always be something to remove yourself from.
And when you do, it will create an Exit Ripple Effect.
It will impact other people, systems, things, financial situations.
Maybe big, maybe small. Depends on how much space you occupied and how fast you got out.
But your exit will be noticed…just like your entry.
Where does that fit into your life situation?
I don’t know.
But I do know how it has impacted mine.
